Lewisham council is planning to decimate our community centres. This is the campaign to stop this from happening.

Centres being turned into ‘hubs’

Some centres are going to be turned into ‘hubs’. These centres will be taking in community groups from the centres that have shut down. The three main hubs are The Leemore, the Narborhood Centre, and the Mulberry. However, The Irish centre and The Sedgehill community centre are also being required to make space for other groups, so they are also included in this list. Representatives of the hubs have universally told us that they are not in a position to take on more groups in the way the council have proposed. Therefore they are also going to suffer as a result of the closures.
